  • What Sororities at UT Seek in Potential New Members (PNMs)

    Here's what these amazing sororities are looking for in their new members. Remember, each quality you bring is a step closer to finding your place and sorority home!

    Involvement and Leadership: Show how active you are in your community or school clubs. Leadership roles can make a big difference!

    Strong Academic Performance: Keep up those great grades! Sororities value members who are committed to their studies.

    Character and Values: Be true to yourself. Sororities appreciate individuals who stand by their values and show integrity. Especially on your social media!

    Strong Communication Skills: Being able to express yourself clearly and connect with others is key. Practice those conversation skills!

    Confidence and Kindness: Walk in with a smile and a positive attitude. Confidence paired with kindness goes a long way.

  • What to wear?

    • Convocation OOTD: Dress is casual and comfortable. You will not be seeing any chapter members, so feel free to wear athletic clothes.

    Open House OOTD: Casual attire- you don’t meet any chapters you will be watching chapter videos with the rest of your Rho Gamma group so dress comfortably and casually!

    • Philanthropy OOTD: Casual cute—sneakers with Philanthropy T-shirts provided by Panhellenic. Shorts and skirts! Additionally, you won’t want to be wearing anything too short, since you may be sitting in some houses. Remember to wear comfortable shoes!

    • Sisterhood OOTD: Elevated casual—wear a nice dress, jumpsuit, or romper with wedges or heels. An example would be something you would wear to a nice dinner with friends or to a Sunday brunch with your family. You may want to keep a pair of sandals or flip flops in your bag to wear in between houses to give your feet a break!

    • Preference OOTD: Dressier—dress, heels and pretty accessories. Preference Day is the most formal round of Recruitment! You will not want to wear a dress that is too tight or short. An example would be something you may wear to a daytime wedding.

    • Bid Day OOTD: Wear a nice dress with trendy sneakers. After you get your bid, you will have an opportunity to run to your new home. There, you will receive a jersey with your new sorority letters to put on over your outfit.

  • Recommendations

    Recommendations are highly encouraged for UT

    Most Potential New Members (PNMs) submit recommendations for all chapters.

    Begin securing writers early in the process.

    Ensure you send your writer a social resume, headshot, and any helpful information to connect you to the chapter.

    Adhere to proper etiquette, including sending timely thank-you notes.

  • Panhellenic Registration Info

    To register, begin preparing your materials well before the end of your senior year. Here are the key steps to follow:

    Complete online “Values Activity” prior to starting your registration.

    Submit a social resume and a digital headshot.

    Gather a digital copy of your high school transcript- final GPA needed.

    Pay the online registration fee.

    Finally, submit your PNM video to complete your registration- information shared after you submit your registration.

    Complete Canvas course online prior to start of recruitment.
